2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT

Mitsubishi has introduced the Outlander for 2010 with, among other updates, an Evo-Lancer derived front end, an upgraded optional V-6, and a new GT trim at the top of the range. Outlander is set to take the compact-crossover segment by storm.

With a base price of $30,015 the Outlander GT comes loaded with a 230-horse powered V-6, six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and a toned-down version of the Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel-drive system.

Mitsubishi Outlander ACTiV Special Edition

The Mitsubishi Outlander is already one of the most anticipated new vehicle releases of this year, but now an ACTiV Special Edition - which includes upgrades to interior and exterior options, is headed to dealership lots.

According to the official Press Release from Mitsubishi, the exterior of the sporty Outlander ACTiV offers the addition of 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps and black roof rails with roof rail cross bars, as well as a stylish black front center grille and chrome exhaust tip.

Mitsubishi Ralliart is No Longer Racing

Mitsubishi Ralliart, not only a car variant for Mitsubishi but also one of their most prized racing teams, (they've taken home wins at Dakar & WRC) is coming to an end - due to what are essentially budget cuts.

This news won't effect North American Mitsubishi sales, or models like the Evo or Lancer. It will pretty much erase Mitsubishi from most major racing events, however. The high cost of specialized parts and maintaining a race team is mostly to blame. Details in a press release below.

Mitsubishi Motors Joins With Siemens PLM Software

Mitsubishi recently joined the automotive industry's top manufacturers to use Siemens PLM Software Technology in the development and manufacturing of their vehicles.  26 of the automotive industry's top 30 automakers use this software.  This software allows automakers to streamline the conversion of data and analysis of vehicle manufacturing.

Mitsubishi will be using the "Teamcenter" system of data collection from Siemens PLM.
