At Hickory Mitsubishi, we're pretty big fans of the show Top Gear. The team of auto-loving Brits has always proven to be quite knowledgeable about everything with an engine, and they pull some of the most entertaining stunts imaginable, the most recent of which involves a black cab in London and a Mitsubishi engine.

More specifically, the classic black London cab has been fitted with a 400-horspower engine that's sure to make any would be occupants think twice before asking for a ride across town. Add in the fact that the cab is driven by the Stig, the mysterious test driver or the show, and it's easy to see why this is one cab that takes some guts to enter.

This grandest of stunts is only one part of Top Gear Live 2011, which is currently set to begin this November. The ongoing even will allow fans of the show to meet the Stig, see real world test drives in person, and even hop into a car to be taken around on a speedy test drive! This event is truly a one-of-a-kind fan service, and one that we would love to see make its way to the United States in the future! We say this especially because we would love to be daring enough to take a ride in that Mitsubishi-equipped taxi! It can hit 0 - 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, and it features a 'selectable centre differential,' meaning you can do very fast drifting and donuts.

"The all-new live show format has an indoor track where you'll see much supercar hoonage, stars being shoved into reasonably priced cars, Jeremy, James and Richard blowing things up and, of course, more Stigcab idiocy."¹
